Sans façon were lead artists for Dale Hodges Park (Calgary, Canada), which received two awards from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects: the 2021 national award for “large landscape” and the 2021 “Jury’s Award of Excellence,” which is given to one project in Canada annually which best demonstrates the CSLA’s vision — that of advancing the art, science, and practice of landscape architecture.
Dale Hodges Park was also the recipient of the 2020 Shared Footprint award from the Emerald Foundation at the 29th Annual Emerald Awards, which celebrate environmental achievements across Alberta.
As lead artists for the City of Calgary’s WATERSHED+ program, Sans façon shared the recognition with the team: AECOM, Source 2 Source, 02 planning & Design, Wilco Southwest, and City of Calgary Public Art, Water Resources, and Parks. This project was one of the largest single undertakings in the WATERSHED+ program, with many disciplines coming together over many years.
