“Far-Sited: Creating and Conserving Art in Public Places” Conference, California State University, Long Beach
Please join the University Art Museum, the Getty Conservation Institute, and the Museum of Latin American Art for a three-day conference celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1965 International Sculpture Symposium at California State University, Long Beach. The conference, Far-Sited: Creating and Conserving Art in Public Places, which runs from October 16-18, 2015, will be accompanied by a semester-long exhibition at the University Art Museum showcasing California State University, Long Beach’s world-class public art collection, and the artists who brought it to fruition. Association for Latin American Art Fourth Triennial Conference “Art at Large: Public and Monumental Arts in the Americas”
The Association for Latin American Art’s Fourth Triennial Conference will be hosted by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco in collaboration with the Department of History of Art at the University of California, Berkeley. The conference will be held the weekend of March 18–20, 2016 at the de Young Museum in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
