Public Art Dialogue Portfolio Review

Public Art Dialogue is hosting their 3rd Annual Public Art Portfolio Reviews on February 15, 2013 in New York City. The reviews are free for PAD members. This is an excellent opportunity for artists who are seeking to work in the field of public art to receive feedback on their portfolios by experts in the field. Each artist will have a 20-minute meeting with an experienced public art consultant, administrator, artist, or curator. The deadline is January 18, 2013 at 8pm EST. Call for Artists: Public Art Dialogue Portfolio Review Friday, February 15, 2013 New York City, in conjunction with the Public Art Dialogue Annual Meeting at College Art Association Free to Public Art Dialogue Members DEADLINE: January 11, 2013 at 8pm EST Public Art Dialogue invites artists who are seeking guidance for careers in public art to apply for a Public Art Portfolio Review. Offered as a membership benefit of Public Art Dialogue, this is an excellent opportunity for emerging artists, established artists, and graduate students who are seeking public art commissions to receive feedback on their portfolios by experts in the field of public art. Each artist will have a 20-minute meeting with an experienced public art consultant, administrator, artist, or curator. The reviews are being organized by Kelly Pajek and Renee Piechocki. The roster of reviewers includes public art administrators, artists, and consultants including:

  • Sara Reisman, Percent for Art Program, New York, NY;
  • Norie Sato, Artist, Seattle, WA;
  • Reina Shibata, Percent for Art Program, New York, NY;
  • Sioux Trujillo, Artist, Detroit, MI; and
  • Ed Woodham, Art in Odd Places, New York, NY.
More reviewers will be listed as their participation is confirmed. reviewer bios The portfolio reviews will take place during the 2013 College Art Association Meeting in New York City. The reviews will take place on Friday, February 15th from 10-4pm. Artists are responsible for providing a laptop or other equipment for electronic presentations. Access to the Internet is not available on site. How to Participate: In order to schedule a review you must be a member of Public Art Dialogue. Artists will receive an email confirmation of their interest and the ability to prioritize a list of the reviewers they would like to meet. The deadline for review requests is January 18, 2013, at 8pm EST.
