The issues brought up by the topic are of special interest to students and young artists, but certainly are relevant to many in the artworld, and has implications on how artists can work, show, produce and survive under these burdens. These issues also affect institutions and other support organizations that wish to operate in the City and elsewhere and support emerging and established artists in and outside the public realm.  This session is free and open to the public. PAD Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony Friday, 02/13/2015, 5:30 PM—7:00 PM Hilton New York, 3rd Floor, Mercury Ballroom Join Public Art Dialogue’s officers and members for a brief business meeting, which will include the announcement of the incoming leadership. Initiatives for 2015 will be announced, along with an overview of upcoming issues of PAD Journal, which members receive in print and online. Time will be reserved for an open dialogue with members and others interested in public art. The business meeting will be followed by the 2015 PAD Award presentation, which will be presented to Tom Finkelpearl, Commissioner, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in recognition of his longstanding contributions to the field of public art. This session is free and open to the public.
